Dr. Papadeas is a Denver native. He is board certified in dermatology and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He attended Cherry Creek High School. After completing his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, he furthered his studies in Europe while playing competitive basketball. Dr. Papadeas earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his dermatology training was completed at Ohio University, Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. He is past-president of the Colorado Dermatological Society and The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr. Papadeas enjoys teaching, and lectures throughout the U.S. and abroad. He enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and four children, and is a dedicated member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon
Dr. Chapman was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Santa Barbara, California. He is board certified in dermatology and a fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Chapman received his B.A. degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands, Redlands, California. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado. Both his dermatology residency and medicine internship were completed at University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado. Dr. Chapman is married and has two daughters. He enjoys family, snow skiing, fly-fishing, mountain biking, camping and travel.
Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon
Dr. Johnson is a board-certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon, Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. She was born in the Matanuska valley of Alaska and raised in Iowa, where she obtained her medical degree at the University of Iowa. She completed her Pediatric Internship at Yale University and Dermatology Residency at Harvard University. After her fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, she returned to Boston as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at Harvard University. Dr. Johnson revels in her son and daughter, and the companionship of her husband, a professor of economics. She enjoys horseback riding, sewing, travel and outdoor sports.
Dr. Amsbaugh is board certified in both, general dermatology and dermatopathology. He is originally from Idaho. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency in dermatology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He finished his dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Amsbaugh enjoys general and surgical dermatology with special interests in dermatopathology, clincopathologic correlation, and immunobullous diseases. Dr. Amsbaugh is married and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and golf.
Dr. Brenman was born in Forest Hills, New York, and was raised in Florida. He is board certified in dermatology and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He attended medical school in Iowa at U.H.S.C.O.M.S. Dr. Brenman completed his internship at Southeastern Medical Center and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. He then followed his wife, Donna, also a physician, to Denver in 1982 where she completed her fellowship in child psychiatry. Since 1982, Dr. Brenman has been practicing dermatology in the Denver metropolitan area. They have one daughter, Kristina. Dr. Brenman and his wife love to garden organically, ski, play competitive tennis and, during their spare time, participate in three-day events on horseback.
Dermatologist, Pediatric Dermatologist
Dr. Swanson is a board certified dermatologist. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. She attended college at the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating with honors as an English major. After that she obtained her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She performed her internship at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, and went on to complete her dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She recently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona. Dr. Swanson likes to spend her free time hiking, skiing, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Surovik is a board certified dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, then went on to complete her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Surovik is married with two daughters, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys outdoor activities, such as running, hiking, and skiing.
Dr. Ray is a board certified dermatologist and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born in San Antonio and raised in rural Texas. She graduated from the honors program at the University of Texas at San Antonio in biochemistry. She received her medical degree, graduating from the honors program at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed her internship and dermatology residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She had been inducted into numerous honor societies including Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has conducted over ten years of bench research during her education. She enjoys international travel, cooking, gardening, biking, camping, hiking, and spending time with her husband and family.
Dr. Owen was born in Mesa, Arizona, and grew up in Gilbert, Arizona. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr. Owen attended Arizona State University and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Spanish. He received his medical degree at A. T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona, while graduating top 10% of his class. He completed his transitional internship at LewisGale hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia. He went on to finish his dermatology residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Resident his final year. During his residency, Dr. Owen received several academic achievement awards including the Stelwagon Award through the Section on Dermatology of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and the Koprince Award for his senior resident oral presentation. Dr. Owen enjoys spending time with his wife, running, snowboarding and playing disc golf.
Dr. Gamble was born in Denver and grew up in Colorado, France, Germany and Austria. He is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He attended college in Middlebury, Vermont, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Biochemistry major. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He subsequently completed a research fellowship in Dermatology at the University of Colorado and authored over 20 publications in the field, focusing on skin cancer prevention. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and his residency in Dermatology at the University of Colorado. In his free time, Dr. Gamble enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Grant was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in El Paso, Texas. He is board-certified in dermatology and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He brings more than twenty years experience in all aspects of dermatologic care. Dr. Grant graduated from Columbia College where he majored in Biology. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Colorado. During his training he, and one of his professors, discovered minoxidil, when applied to the skin, stimulated hair growth. Their research was the basis for the development of Rogaine. Dr. Grant started his own private practice and was the first dermatologist to use PUVA therapy in Colorado for psoriasis. He was a clinical instructor in dermatology at C.U. and an officer of the Christian Medical Society. He retired from practice after nearly 20 years to devote himself to directing the Bread of Life Foundation, a charitable foundation that he and his wife founded in 1989. He also attended Denver Seminary where he graduated with a degree in theology. He and his wife have spoken in numerous churches across the country about prayer. Because he missed the privilege, challenge, and joy of caring for patients, he returned to practice with Advanced Dermatology in 2001. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and is a top racquetball player.
Dr. Cheng is a board-certified dermatologist and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she grew up in Singapore and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1976. She graduated with honors from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Cheng received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Prior to joining Advanced Dermatology, she practiced in Atlanta, Georgia and Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Cheng has also been involved in immunology research at the National Institutes of Health and has been published several times. In her spare time, Dr. Cheng enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She loves to travel and sightsee, as well as experiment in cooking.

Dr. Ceilley received his medical degree and dermatology residency training at the University of Iowa. He is board-certified in dermatology, dermatopathology, and Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology. He is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Ceilley has served as president of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Ceilley is also in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa, specializing in skin cancer surgery and dermatologic surgery. He is a Professor at the University of Iowa, Department of Dermatology, and is Director of a Mohs Surgery Fellowship program. Dr. Ceilley has authored and co-authored over 100 scientific publications, books and chapters. Dr. Ceilley enjoys the outdoors, hiking, biking, and fishing, and is new to the sport of snowshoeing.
